Why

Loom is a separate app, a separate billing line, and a separate place your videos live. For teams already in Odoo all day, that is one tool too many. ScreenScoop puts the recorder in the systray, stores the file as a regular Odoo attachment, and shares it through the same access tokens you already use for portals.

How it works

  1. Click the systray icon
    Browser asks for screen and microphone permission. Pick a window, tab, or full screen.
  2. Record in the browser
    Native MediaRecorder API. No plugin, no desktop app, no upload to a third-party host.
  3. Stop and save
    The recording lands as an Odoo attachment, indexed and ready for chatter discussion.
  4. Share the link
    Token-based public URL or internal-only. Attach to any record so context travels with the video.

Depends on base, web, mail, portal, website. Recording uses the native browser MediaRecorder API, so a recent Chrome, Edge, or Firefox is the only client requirement.
